Lottie came late to photography having spent the early years of her career working as a corporate lawyer in Wellington, London and Moscow. During this time, she picked up the work ethic and problem solving skills for which she is now known as a photographer.
Once Lottie decided to move into photography she relocated to the US for a few years where she studied in Maine and interned for VII Photo Agency.
Raised on a dairy farm in the Wairarapa, Lottie has a love of food and is passionate about engaging with the stories and people behind it. In fact, she is passionate about spending time with people and telling real human stories through her photography, whatever the story might be. Lottie regularly explores the land, the ocean and the skies shooting for New Zealand Geographic and The New York Times.
